Explore the techniques of monotype: applying paint and printing ink directly onto a plexiglass surface and passing it through an etching press. Allowing only one print, monotype is not intended for production but rather for the expressive and painterly effects that cannot be achieved by other printmaking. Brayers, paint brushes, drawing tools and paper will be used to apply ink and also to mask areas. Teens 16 and over welcome.
