Making Sauerkraut + Fermented Veggies
Cheryl was great, I learned a LOT about fermentation and feel empowered to experiment with my own ferments now! The class was fun, interactive and I got to meet new people. Would def do another class here! -
Preserving Summer in a Jar
The instructor was amazing and I truly enjoyed the class. -
Preserving Summer in a Jar
This was a varied but manageable introduction to canning. I really appreciated that we got to take home sweets, savory and something to prep for a meal (marinara). I thought the facilities were superb, and the general vibe was terrific. I would absolutely take another class from Chef Jen or anything at the JCC. -
Homemade Jam
This was a fun class that really inspired me to go home and make jam - which I did this weekend! The teacher was really cool and friendly and I liked her laid back attitude. Would definitely recommend, and would take another class with her in the future for sure. Thanks! -
Food Preservation: Pickling, Canning, Freezing & Drying
Angela was a phenomenal teacher – she was incredibly informative. The woman who assisted was also incredible. I loved this class. I was disappointed by the technical difficulty + that we could not complete the canning section of the class. That said, I will absolutely be taking more classes at 3rd Ward and have already recommended it. -
Jams, Jellies, and Preserving
It was great! Knowledgeable teacher, very hands on, generous with the food, quite intimate space. No complaints. Except that the class ended too soon. -
Contraband Ferments Workshop
For being the first class that I have attended at Brooklyn Kitchen, I think it went really well. The space is amazing, and signing up for the class could not have been easier. Bob, from McClure's, was very thorough and engaging - I left with a great sense of knowledge on how to ferment my own vegetables to make pickles! I plan on taking many more classes in the future.
