Salvatore Geraci, an Architect specialized in restructuring and preserving historical palaces and villas, inherited the Palari estate from his family in 1980. Seeking to make world class wine and to restore the winemaking reputation of this small Sicilian appellation, Salvatore enlisted the help of a Piedmontese winemaker Donato Lanati. Since then, Palari wines have not only put the Faro DOC back on the map, but they’ve also received national and international acclaim. His wine Faro Palari is known for becoming an icon for the Sicilian winemaking "renaissance", and in general, his wines have gained a cult following from collectors worldwide.
