While working with materials such as wood, wire, paint, cardboard, or clay campers will be able to create their own abstract or structural pieces! Campers will be given guidance but should be comfortable working intuitively. All levels welcome!

Explore the possibilities of working in clay using different hand-building techniques, such as pinch, slab, and coil. Campers will design a pinch pot for succulents, design and build a box that tells a story, or create some gifts for friends and family. The possibilities are endless! This class aims to teach the fundamentals of figure drawing! Through teaching the importance of sketching, students will learn the basic techniques and proportions to draw the human figure. Students will explore drawing with pencil, charcoal, and other mediums.

Learn to draw the human face! Students will explore portrait drawing by focusing on proportions and breaking the face down into simple shapes. Students will delve into gesture drawing, line quality, and shading to help create realistic portraits with depth and 3-dimensionality. For all level students.

Learn the basics of fashion design and construction techniques! Campers will repurpose, create sewing patterns, explore surface design, and construct basic garments on the sewing machine. Explore a variety of contemporary abstract and textile artists, while working with materials such as paint, yarn, and clay.  Campers will be able to create their own abstract and textile pieces through guidance but should be comfortable working intuitively.

Dive in for a week of underwater explorations! Campers will use various materials to study some of their favorite sea animals and underwater worlds. From fish and crustaceans to coral and seashells, their art projects are bound to make waves in this mixed media camp!
