Description

Celebrate the season with one of Mexico’s most beloved holiday traditions—tamales! In this hands-on class, we’ll mix, fill, and wrap savory tamales, learning time-honored techniques along the way. Whether you’re continuing a family tradition or starting a new one, this class is the perfect way to celebrate the season.

Menu:

Green Chile Chicken Tamales with Roasted Salsa Roja and Quick-Pickled Onions
Mexican Rice and Beans
Chipotle Guacamole with Chips

Skills covered in class:

Working with tomatillos
Selecting and braising chicken
Pickling techniques
Working with corn husks, masa harina, spices and chiles
Steaming rice
Selecting avocados
Balancing flavors

In this hands-on class, students will be paired in groups of three to five and work together as a team to prepare the recipes.

Refund Policy

All classes have a three (03) day cancellation policy, except Culinary Boot Camps 1 and 2 which have a two-week cancellation policy.
You must email [email protected] to cancel an existing reservation.
If you cancel a class other than Culinary Boot Camps 1 & 2 more than 3 days in advance and have paid with a credit card, you will receive a refund to your card, minus the 15% administrative fee which is non-refundable and non-transferable.
If you cancel more than 3 days in advance and have paid with a gift card, you will receive an account credit valid toward future classes, minus the administrative fee.
If you cancel within three days of your class, you will receive an account credit equal to 50% of the class price less 15% administrative fee, which is non-refundable and non-transferable. This credit is valid for one year.
If you are unable to attend, you are also welcome to send a guest in your place.
Culinary Boot Camps 1 & 2 have a 2-week cancellation policy so any cancellations before 2-weeks will receive a refund minus the administrative fee.
No credits will be given for cancellations within 2 weeks.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
