Shaun Jenkins

Teaches at The House of Yogi

Born and raised in Durban, Shaun grew up on the rugged, tropical East coast of South Africa. Drawing strongly on his Budokon training with master teacher Cameron Shayne (a living arts system that combines the beneficial aspects of martial arts, yoga and meditation), Shaun enjoys challenging students of all levels with a delicate but vigorous balance of breath and flow bringing the mind and body into harmony.

Through the physical asana, a moving meditation, Shaun facilitates space for students to cultivate concentration, strength, and clarity while challenging and encouraging students to release fear, to laugh, to live, and to be happy.Shaun's teaching style is a fusion of physical continents, traditional cultures, and contemporary knowledge toward the benefit of each and every student he encounters.

Shaun is a lifelong learner and a leader in the community, founding and running The House of Yogi, a premier yoga studio in the heart of San Diego. Recently, his intuitive sense compelled him to delve deeper into spinal health earning a certification in Happy Back Yoga with renowned master teacher Rachel Krentzman. Shaun centers around trying inspire and guide students through class, having fun along the way and inviting you to connect with your body and soul, to learn more about yourself on your mat.
