Established in 1978 to serve the New York and international communities with high-quality, professional education and training, Baruch College's Division of Continuing and Professional Studies (CAPS) offers courses, certificates, and programs in diverse subjects.
Students at Baruch College's Division of Continuing and Professional Studies come from all walks of life and all levels of education and all have unique goals and aspirations. Some study with us to advance their careers, some to change careers, some to improve their language skills, and many join us just to enrich their personal lives. Many of our students have gone on to obtain very prestigious positions with corporations both in the U.S. and abroad.
Responding to market needs, Baruch College's Division of Continuing and Professional Studies develops and launches new courses and programs that can immediately meet the needs of the aspiring professional. These new programs are presented to the public after rigorous educational development and with input from experts in the professional community.
Taught by industry leading professionals, our courses are held during the day, as well as evenings, and weekends to best meet the needs of adult students. Courses are offered in a traditional classroom, online, or in a combination of both formats.
Very nice Prof. and well educated teacher. I will take him again and highly recommend.
Given the present circumstances (the plandemic), the course was very interactive and informative; I gained the knowledge I needed to understand the operations of the field area this course offers and would recommend it to others who would like to pursue this field of study towards a career. Zoom classes reached persons where they are, reduced travelling, given that it's a evening class, I found it to be very convenient and hope the college do consider more zoom classes for the evenings.
What a very informative class that built a good foundation for further HR learning.
This class was very informative! I would highly recommend this course to anyone considering entering the HR field, or for anyone who would like to learn the basics of how HR operates, how they can apply it to their current positions, and just exactly what they handle day to day. Janet was a wonderful instructor and is a wealth of knowledge regarding the HR field, she uses her real world experience and relates it to the textbook lessons seamlessly. I would definitlely take another course with her in the future!
Christian Chirila is a great teacher. Started the class not knowing the first thing about bookkeeping and learned a great deal through this course. Would highly recommend.
I enjoyed learning the principals of HR. It was a great start to my HR career.
Instructor Sutter was great. He was patient and understanding that we’re not mathematicians. He did his best to go through the material as much and as slow as time allowed. The course was way too condensed in too short a period to allow for maximum learning. In this sense it was too fast. Overall, it helped but not as much as I would have liked.
Mr Goldberg was great, He was very knowledgeable and right to the point- We did have one lady that was being very rude and extra and expected a lot and became upset when things weren’t the way she wanted them- she did say she was going to let the school know- but honestly the class was great,
