Let’s learn how to make sushi rolls with ingredients you have at home!

In this class, we are going to teach you how to make your own creative sushi rolls with a few simple ingredients that are usually kept in the normal household. Even if you don’t have the usual sushi ingredients at home, you can make simple sushi rolls with ingredients for sandwiches.

Let’s take an advantage of this quarantine period to learn a new cooking skill or for enjoying family time together. Also, you can use our class for your kids’ virtual birthday parties, or remote cooking activities with friends you cannot see in person.

Here are a few things you need to prepare for the class:

Question from Erica
Hello! Can someone tell me what is needed to prepare the rice during the class? Do we need any appliances?
Question from Anonymous
I would like to gift this to 3 couples in 3 different locations. #1. Is the price per screen or per person? ie - does the couple share #2. Can they get together and reserve a time so all 3 couples can be in the same class? I don't know their present schedule.
Question from Willow M.
My son, who is 11, would love to take this course. He's been making sushi at home for the past year and is very knowledgeable with the materials and how to use a knife safely. Is the 18-year requirement waived if I supervise him attending this class?
Answer from Jenn C. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hi Willow, yes, there's no problem as long as he's supervised by an adult during class!

RESOBOX's virtual sushi class taught by Belmonte Hiroyo was amazing. All the instructions from the ingredient list and Zoom connection to the set up were really easy to follow. The class itself was really interesting, fun and simple - including all the basics that any first-time sushi makers would need to know. Belmonte was patient and knowledgable, answering any questions we had no matter how random they were. She was full of helpful tips and insight that will set us up for success on our next sushi adventure. I highly recommend taking this class to anyone who is a sushi lover and aspires to roll their own. We are in California so took the class at 8 am PT, I think it would be great if they had ones later in the day too - but honestly, sushi for breakfast was pretty delicious!
