Light and airy, French macarons are a delicate, fancy dessert to share with family and friends. Bonus—they are gluten-free!
The basic almond meringue cookies, when sandwiched together with a variety of fillings, allow you to adapt this sweet treat to your tastes. During class, you will prepare a classic macaron cookie recipe and chocolate ganache filling, and watch a demonstration of making European-style buttercream for an alternative filling. You will need piping bags, and a 3/8” (9mm) round tip, a hand-held or stand mixer, parchment paper and three baking trays. You will also need to purchase ingredients to make the macarons and complete some easy, pre-class prep.
A full ingredient list, pre-class preparation instructions, and recipes will be sent in advance of the class.
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
