Question from Vicky K.
Should we pack a lunch w/drinks, or is there a place where we can buy food during our lunch break? Thank you.
Answer from Georgia C. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hi Vicky! Yes, the school recommend packing a lunch. There is a cold drink machine in the building and places to get lunch within walking distance but the break is only 30 minutes.
Question from E.B.
Someone asked if students need to bring their own supplies and the answer was yes. So what supplies do students need?
Answer from Brenda L. CourseHorse StaffCourseHorse Staff
Hi, there! Sorry for the misinformation, but students do not need to bring anything for this class. Everything needed is provided. Hope this clears up the confusion. Thanks!

Enjoyed the class..and class size, 4 students. Teacher was patient and attentive, helping and checking progress often. Only complaint is the picture in the class description looks like we would be making a larger bowl. I would recommend this class.

My sister and I definitely enjoyed the class. Our instructor Geof was very knowledgeable and helpful. I will likely sign up for other classes including the 12 week beginning lathe class. I do have one issue. The photo on the class description for this class is very deceiving and kind of false advertising. Not knowing how long the process actually takes to make a bowl, I thought we would be making a large “salad” bowl because that is the photo that was on the sign up and description page. No where did it say the finished size bowl we would be creating for 140.00. It would be nice if the photo was of a bowl that is made during the class. I have taken a photo of my sisters’ and my bowl if you need an actual photo. Please let me know if you would like to use this photo on your sign up sheet. I will try to email it to the above email.

The class was great. I definitely walked away feeling confident in my ability to apply what I learned in class. It’s for sure worth the money.

Excellent class with a lot of hands on work to complete the project. Jeff was a great instructor, explaining how to use the lathe and tools and the techniques that were needed to form the bowl. He offered as much assistance as was needed, but allowed everyone to learn by actually doing the work. Would look forward to taking a next level class to work on something a bit more difficult.
