Toshie and Marico Chigyo

Teaches at Textile Arts Center

Toshie and Marico Chigyo were born in Osaka, Japan and have lived in the United States since 1979, working in textiles with a focus in Sashiko. They have been exhibiting in in arts ans craft shows across the country, including at the Smithsonian and Philadelphia Craft Shows, as well as the ACC show in San Francisco, Boston and New York. They have been teaching Sashiko from the east coast to the west coast.
