David LaBarca

Teaches at Gotham Writers Workshop

David LaBarca has appeared as a stand-up comic in New York City at Gotham Comedy Club, New York Comedy Club, Symphony Space, and at numerous clubs across the US, Canada, Mexico, and the Virgin Islands. He was featured on Comedy Central's Stand Up Stand Up and Short Attention Span Theatre. He won a comedy award at the 1996 International Casino Talent competition in the Bahamas. His material has appeared in many publications, including Women's Own Magazine and the New York Times. He holds a BS from Baruch College.

This is a great class by a great teacher. The only negative thing I would say is that you should put the teacher in the class description. I signed up through corsehorse and had no idea it would be the same teacher that is teaching my much longer class through Gotham. This caused problems for me. :(
