The Instructor gave us a full overview of what it takes to do voiceovers in the industry.. as well as some technical guides.. and exercises to maintain our voice. Most helpful was understanding emotional intent while reading.

Eric my instructor was easy to talk to and encouraging and realistic about what's involved in audio book narration. He read for me which have me a good idea of how a pro sounds and it connected the dots regarding the feedback he gave me on things like being fluid and pacing.

The class was really excellent. This was my first Coursehorse experience and I really didn't know what to expect. I recommend it to anyone interested in audiobook narration. Totally worth the time and money. I will be looking into my courses on this site.

The class was great! The instructor, Eric Yves Garcia , was as friendly and thoughtful as he was informative and professional. I was given very sound critiques for the practice pieces that we did and Eric provided us with resources that will definitely be useful as I break into doing voice work.
I wholeheartedly recommend this class.

Eric is insightful, kind and creative. I really enjoyed taking this course as he touches on every aspect of audiobook narration and even went over class time as we had many questions. He mentioned the possibility of a part two class and I'm looking forward to when that happens!

Eric is so kind and informative. Also, his voice is so nice to listen to -- makes sense that he's a narrator! I hope he does a Level 2 class, I would love to take it.

A really engaging class leader. Really worthwhile gave us a real understanding of not just what the work would entail but how we should prepare. Really worthwhile learnt a lot and also very enjoyable.

Eric was very knowledgeable. The only glitch was trying to get into the zoom session due to tech issues. Fun to get a peek into another industry different from my own.

Eric delivered the goods -- masterfully guiding students through a day in the life of a narrator from prep work, self-care, technical proficiency, and beyond. And what a voice! He's in the right field. Fingers crossed for a Partt 2 to this course.

This was a truly fantastic class. I loved every minute of it and told everyone in my commercial VO class that they should take it. Eric is a warm, informative and perceptive teacher - he gave me great notes which turned my performance around. Highly recommended!

Eric Yves Garcia's class offers two helpful angles for people thinking about working in audiobook narration. First, he shares a detailed overview on working in the industry and the end-to-end process of getting and finishing a job, including mid-pandemic. Second, he gives on-the-spot notes and direction to students who read selections they have prepared for the class. The chance to re-read after feedback is truly useful, and the techniques suggested to individuals are useful for all of the students in the class. An enjoyable and professional session!
