The teacher, Isaac, was patient, encouraging and knowledgeable in teaching us the drawing and shading of basic shapes. This was the best class I have had in shading with pencils and I learned a great deal.

I had never used watercolors before and had never taken a painting class. By the end of it, I had discovered a new activity that I could play with, and on a personal level I recognized my old perfectionism trying to reassert itself. By allowing myself to paint and not be concerned with doing it “right” or “perfectly,” I gained not only the enjoyment of experimenting with paints, but also a feeling of satisfaction knowing I hadn’t cheated myself out of a lovely experience. Claire was a wonderfully encouraging teacher!
