  Eva, my instructor was fun, friendly, helpful and organized. She emailed me ahead of time and took my feedback about what I wanted out of the class to structure our time productively in a relaxed way. She also went beyond and gave me some Paris recommendations regarding dining and shopping. I had a wonderful time.

  I found Eva because I received a gift certificate to “Course Horse”. Anyway, I was looking for an “in-person” French class, but that wasn’t easy to find. And I live in New York City. Everything was ZOOM. But after the pandemic, everyone seemed to like it better than being “in person”. Except me. But now, I’m a believer. Eva has been in BERLIN, and it seems as if she were right in my living room. I couldn’t be happier. She is fluent in so many languages that one can feel humbled. But Eva doesn’t allow that. Within a few lessons, she will try very hard to discern how best you learn. Do you respond to visual or audio, or written? Right now, I’m reading Le Petit Prince and Tintin comics. Love both, and I’m learning a lot. Oh….Did I say that she’s a kind, patient, and forever resourceful teacher? I really couldn’t recommend her more.

  Rabah is a wonderful instructor! As someone who is just beginning to learn French through self-study, I learned a lot in this 1.5 hour class. I feel much more confident for my upcoming travels. I'd gladly return to another French course at ABC Languages if he is teaching again.

  Really great class! Pia was a great instructor and when she went on vacation, Cou Cou arranged for an equally fantastic instructor to take over for until she returned. The small class sizes made it easy to get to know your fellow students and everyone was very supportive as we all learned the basics together. Would definitely recommend Cou Cou for beginner French and I am planning to continue in the next level.

  If I could add additional stars to this testimonial, I would. The daughter of a friend of ours had to complete one semester of French II over the summer in preparation for the new school year. I was desperate to find someone who came highly recommended, but who could also work at an accelerated pace with this young woman. To our great good fortune, we found Eva. Eva systematically went through the entire coursework with an emphasis on grammar and conversational French, which helped our friend achieve her goal. The girl completed French II and passed the entrance test to French III with flying colors. This major accomplishment would not have been possible without Eva. Eva’s level of professionalism, impressive education, linguistic acumen, and her knowledge of French is that of a native speaker. She clearly works well with any age group and all levels including highly advanced focused areas.

  Great course and excellent teacher! Great mixture of learning, practicing, and listening to music/videos. Learned a lot in ten weeks from absolutely zero French knowledge to being able to construct basic sentences.

  This level 1 French class is exactly what I hoped it would be--Perfect for someone like me who is familiar with the language but has been struggling to learn on my own. The instructor is great. I have already signed up and will be attending the level 2 class.

  I honestly wasn't sure what to expect but I was very impressed with the instructor and his ability to keep the class engaged. There were five of us in the conversation class, which gave us all enoug time to practice our French.

  Jeremiah was great at helping us make real life, memorable connections to the French language. The class hops around a bit, which make it a little difficult to go back to your notes if you're looking for something specific, but I think the tempo and order of how we learned things made sense over time. Level one catered to people like me who haven't practiced French in 10 years, but remembered bits and tidbits, but also to complete novices as it was primarily taught in English. The instructor's at-home suggestions (sites/references/apps to use) were super helpful and while the homework isn't necessary his feedback will only help you learn the language better. The location is great, small classes (under 10 students) and time frame are all very convenient. Would highly recommend!
