Reviews for Beginner Photography Classes Online

Beginner Photography Classes Online are rated 4.4 stars based on 218 verified reviews from actual CourseHorse.com purchasers.

  • Everything was great

  • Great Class for people with some photography background. Tons of information.

  • This was a good introduction to photography. The professor was knowledgeable.

  • David is very knowledgeable and explains things with clarity and patience.

  • Veronica is knowledgeable and passionate about photography and her outgoing personality is part of making her a good teacher. She presented the technical information in a way that was easy to understand without slipping into professional jargon and terms we might not have understood. Finally, even though the course was online, she's figured out how to make it work well.

  • Kathy Adams Clark did a great job of teaching an online photography class. I wanted to wait until in person classes start again, being incredibly ADHD(really) but not knowing when that will possibly be, I decided to try this. Clark was very thorough in her explanations, and even sent a recording of the class afterwards. I would for sure take another class with her if in person doesn't start up again (She's in TX, I am in CA)

  • Fantastic. A wonderful and simple way to learn the 101 on photography. Highly recommend.

  • Very informative shoot. Loved her style and technique

  • Great class for refreshing on fundamentals

  • I really appreciated this class, thank you for all of your help!

  • Great class!

  • Loved the class and I learned so much in just 90 min. I hope Veronica will be doing more classes on photography. Please let me know if she is and I would love to sign up. Thanks, Dana

  • Class was a great combination of theory and practice. Instructor was clear and got to the important points. I hope she does another follow up class.

  • It was a great and inspiring experience. The teacher was amazing and a wonderful motivator too.

  • Very good basics on photography to get me out of auto settings.

  • Great class, teacher was really clear and had great exercises for a clearer understanding.

  • The instructor was very knowledgeable and passionate about the material. I think I need a level 2 just to really cement everything I learned but it was a great intro and overview.

  • I really enjoyed this class. I learned a lot about my camera and using it without autofocus on.

  • Great information. Wonderful instructor put together a great presentation while answering questions. Unfortunately my computer crashed with a few minutes remaining on the course, but she was able to send the presentation pdf via e-mail after. I would happily take another class.

  • Photography I: Learning the Basics

I really loved the class. The teacher was amazing and took her time explaining aperture, shutter speed, and ISO in detail for those of us who needed it. The homework that was assigned is what was most beneficial in applying what we learned in class. Again our teacher was extremely encouraging and engaging.

  • It was an excellent class. Had lots of fun doing the assignments.

  • Great Instructor

  • Kathy was very professional and kept the class moving with relevent information.

  • Very informative, motivational , learned a lot .,good presentational skills Definitely will recommend to friends and family Margarita Zeyger

  • Very informative and useful information. Nice teacher (should have introduced himself..... didn’t tell us his name! Would like to have my colleague take some private classes if you offer them on Photography for Instagram on the I phone. Thanks! Cindy Chaplin

  • The course was very helpful in learning the basics of photography. The examples provided really helped understanding what the effects of each setting would do. I also liked the smaller class size so the instructor was able to come around to help you set up your specific camera. It was extremely insightful and I would definitely recommend this to beginners!

  • Cathy is always outstanding in her teaching. She is easy to understand and follow.

  • I loved the instructor Liz! Fabulous person!

  • So much great essential information given ❤️❤️❤️❤️

  • Fabulous! Kathy makes all the things I’ve struggled to learn and understand seem so easy! She turned the light bulb on!

  • I thought the instructor, Gabe, was very knowledgeble about various cameras, but most importantly, was able to explain settings and features on my camera to achieve creative capabilities that I was having trouble with. Unfortunately I probably will miss the second (8/19, 6-9p) of three classes but am hoping to make it up in one of the other sessions(8/27, 2-5p ?).

  • Gabe was great and very patient with all the questions thrown at him.

  • Great class with a ton of valuable information and hands on training. I would recommend this class to anyone looking to improve their skills. I'm looking forward to taking more classes from Kathy, she is so knowledgeable of the photography field and shares her knowledge with her students.

  • Kathy breaks it all down simply, makes it all easy to understand. I feel like I learned WAY more than I had expected to from a "beginner" course! Brought 2 friends with me, and they feel the same way. Kathy has a great speaking voice, so she's very easy to listen to. She is very organized, stays on track and finishes on time as well. We are looking forward to taking more courses with her!! Thank you !! Cheryl Kiser Jones Creek, Tx

  • Very informative and thorough. The teacher was accommodating and patient and seemed very professional

  • Kathy is very knowledgeable and made the class interesting. I would recommend this class to anyone needing basic photography lessons.

  • Skye was unbelievable. I learned so much from this course, the obvious lightoom Info but also so much more. He took the time to really teach me useful information. I feel like I have more confidence now after taking this class. I’ll be signing up for another class in the future for sure.

  • I found the instructor (Charlie) extremely knowledgeable, very helpful and entertaining.

  • She did awesome! I cant wait to attend additional classes!

  • Awesome class!!

  • I got a ton out of the class. The teacher was friendly and gave a lot of great info. I am not too familiar with Instagram so I got a lot of new info. I got the feeling that the teacher adapts to the level of each class. I really enjoyed it.

  • Awesome class. She was candid and very informative. She even sends you home with homework. I will take another class from her

  • Kathy was as n excellent instructor. She is very patient and knowledgeable.. Looking forward to attending her next workshop!!

  • Very helpful. Clear explanations and demonstrations

  • The instructor was very knowledgeable and explained the material very clearly. There was a lot of information taught to assist anyone who is interested in Beginning Photography. I look forward to attending other classes taught by Mrs. Clark.

  • If you are interested in getting the most out of your camera or, like me, just needing help understanding the basics and how cameras work then take this class. Kathy is a pro who has a knack for teaching the newbies in such a way that you come away feeling confident in what you learn in her class. I highly recommend her.

  • Definitely 5 stars. It was just what I needed to show me a few pointers.

  • If you have anything to do with photography GO HERE. This is where the community lives. Great shows. Great classes. Great people. They have geniuses on staff. PS: I glanced at some of the negative reviews, seems like 'user' error. The staff is generous and understanding and will work with your problems as they come up. This is a business, they need to create income to stay alive, they are not the enemy. Be kind.

  • Great learning experience. I have taken several courses at LACP and have never been disappointed. Best bang for your photography bucks in Los Angeles. Plan to become a continuing student. Highly recommended.

  • Los Angeles Center of Photography is a wonderful establishment. I have taken several classes and workshops and gained both invaluable information and inspiration. I have found a photographic community here which has supported me in countless ways. I highly recommend taking classes and becoming involved!
