Learn Spanish Through Photography

Have a passion for photography and have always wanted to learn Spanish? This is your chance!

ASoP has partnered up with Spanish Language School, Lingua Arte to help our students learn a new language through their creativity.

LinguaArte is a professional Spanish language school dedicated to using The Creative Approach to Language Teaching. We believe that creativity is a talent that every person and language learner has, and the teacher’s task is to create certain conditions in class that would stimulate this talent. We recognize and value the diverse skills of our students and encourage them to contribute to our language classes.

Course Description:

This course is designed for complete beginners who want to study Spanish from the very beginning. It offers a comprehensive grammatical foundation in Spanish; helps develop basic Spanish language skills and build confidence when communicating in Spanish.

The course contains 9 lessons with dialogues, texts, grammatical explanations, and a wide variety of interactive exercises that help the students learn and expand their knowledge. There are no cameras required, no knowledge of settings required, just your photos and creativity!

Course Goals

Listening

I can understand familiar words and very basic phrases concerning myself, my family and immediate concrete surroundings when people speak slowly and clearly.

Reading

I can understand familiar names, words and very simple sentences, for example on notices and posters or in catalogues.

Spoken interaction

I can interact in a simple way provided the other person is prepared to repeat or rephrase things at a slower rate of speech and help me formulate what I’m trying to say. I can ask and answer simple questions in areas of immediate need or on very familiar topics.

Spoken production

I can use simple phrases and sentences to describe where I live and people I know.

Writing

I can write a short, simple postcard, for example sending holiday greetings. I can fill in forms with personal details, for example entering my name, nationality and address on a hotel registration form.

Note to Clarify "Course": The usual course time is 9 weeks, we highly recommend continuing the course again, but the first 4 weeks will be a fantastic start!
