This intermediate course will continue to build off of the mold filling essentials classes and will help the user quickly and efficiently evaluate the if having multiple gates will allow for improved part quality, wider processing window, or more desirable weld line (knit line) locations. Additionally, this class will allow the user to determine the feasibility of molding different parts in a family mold. Automated runner balancing, and the use of valve gates will be explored. Finally, the course will touch on how the user can determine how to optimize the packing profile to achieve better part quality, or optimize the tonnage required to manufacture their parts.
Class Topics Include:
- Multiple Gates
- Packing Optimization
- Runner Balancing/Family Molds
- Valve Gates
Who Should Attend?
New Autodesk Moldflow Insight Users, Product Designers, Mold Designers (Both New and Experienced), Process Engineers
