This advanced course will allow the user to predict how the part is predicted to deform and warp after being ejected out of the mold. Additionally, the user will be introduced to how the warpage solver can be used to determine the root cause of part warpage, so solutions can be made quickly and before cutting steel. After the class, the student will be able to: What is the difference between shrinkage and warpage, Why does warpage occur, and what are the main sources of warpage in injection molding, How to set up datums and anchor planes to better quantify how parts are predicted to warp, Understand what are the important material properties required to improve the accuracy of shrinkage and warpage predictions, Understand a workflow for troubleshooting warpage problems quickly and efficiently
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
