A general-purpose chatbot cannot answer questions about your company's return policy, your equipment manuals, or your internal procedures. This course builds one that can. You deploy a knowledge-base chatbot grounded in your organization's own content using retrieval-augmented generation, so answers come from your documents rather than from the model's general training, and can be traced back to a source.
The work covers the full retrieval pipeline: ingesting and chunking source documents, generating embeddings, storing and querying them, and assembling the retrieved context into a prompt that produces grounded answers. You also address the failure modes that matter in production, including what the bot should do when it does not know, how to cite sources, and how to keep the knowledge base current as documents change. The finished application is deployable for customer support or internal team use.
