There are so many different avenues and genres of voice over to choose from, it can be a daunting task to know where to begin your career. Should you focus on animation and video games? Audiobooks? Guided tours? Or just focus on commercials? Let us help – try a Private Evaluation with Edge Studio.
Edge Studio can take the guesswork out of how to start your voice over career. For over 30 years, we’ve been helping talent find their niche, and steer them towards the right voiceover genre for their sound.
A Private Evaluation follows a very similar process to our 3-hour Group Evaluation Class, and is perfect for those of you who want a more personalized experience, need a session that is tailored to your schedule, or are more comfortable in a one-on-one session rather than a group setting.
During this one-hour long private evaluation, your coach will learn about you and your interests, and will ask if you have a particular voice over genre(s) you would like to pursue (audiobook, animation, commercial, documentary, etc.). Then you’ll get to read scripts under the coach’s guidance. If you have a particular genre interest, we’ll take that into account, but if you are also (or better) suited to another genre, the coach will discuss that possibility.
After your session, you will receive a follow-up call from one of our trusted Education Advisors who will discuss the areas of voice over where we think you would be most marketable, as well as give you a recommendation on the best training path for your skills and voice. We will use your coaches notes from your Private Evaluation to discuss which program would best fit your goals. From there, you can then enroll in the Edge Studio Training Program.

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
