Are you ready for an adventure? Join us as we follow a young Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, on an adventure involving a wizard, dwarves, mountain trolls, giant spiders, a ring and a dragon? This class will cover a brief history of author JRR Tolkien's life, a complete breakdown of each chapter of his first book (in the Middle Earth series of books), The Hobbit.
The chapter breakdown includes vocabulary words, the meanings behind character and location names, comprehension and discussion questions, recipes (based on the foods mentioned within the book), as well as other activities.
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
Students have 2 weeks to try out a class to make sure it's a good fit. If they don't email us by the end of the second week, they are automatically enrolling for the entire session. If they decide to drop a class after attending, they will only be charged for the sessions they attended.
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
