Teaches at Gotham Writers Workshop

Thais Miller is the author of the novel Our Machinery and the short story collection The Subconscious Mutiny and Other Stories (both Brown Paper Publishing). Her fiction and poetry is included in Bleak House Review, AmLit, and the anthology Lethal Rejection(Carolina Academic Press). She holds a BA from American University and an MA in Creative Writing for Social Activism from NYU.

Fiction Writing Intensive

The teacher, Thais Miller, was lovely and energetic through the entire class, she is passionate about her work and gave a solid introduction to fiction writing. My review is missing a star however, because even Thais' great energy and enthusiasm could not make up for the class participants, who made the experience feel more like a competition than an open, collaborative environment. Perhaps I was at the wrong level, being a complete beginner and taking the class as a basic introduction, and it would be helpful for course horse to provide more in depth descriptions of their classes.
