Matthieu Ricard is an international best-selling author, Buddhist monk, humanitarian, and a prominent speaker, celebrated at the World Economic Forumat Davos. Millions of people have viewed his TED talks on happiness and altruism. He is actively involved in scientific research on the effects of meditation on the brain. His best-selling books include The Monk and the Philosopher, Altruism and, most recently, A Plea for the Animals.  

Laurie Anderson, one of America’s most renowned multi-disciplinary creative pioneers, is best known for her multimedia presentations and innovative use of technology. As writer, director, visual artist and vocalist she has created works that span the worlds of art, theater and experimental music. She has performed globally and published seven books, and her recent film is “Heart of a Dog.”
