Amrita Ghosh

Amrita Ghosh is a research fellow at the South Asia Center, (SASNET) Lund university in Sweden, where she works on a project on conflict zones and fault lines in South Asia. Ghosh has a postdoc from Linnaeus University, Sweden, at the Center of Postcolonial Studies, where she worked on emerging literature from Kashmir’s conflict zone and another parallel project on Tagore and Yeats, A Postcolonial Reenvisioning, which is coming out as a co-edited anthology by Brill in 2021.

She has been a visiting lecturer at Linnaeus University and a lecturer of English at Seton Hall University, New Jersey. Ghosh received her Ph.D in Postcolonial literature and partition studies from Drew University, NJ and is the co-founder Editor is the biannual online literary and arts journal Cerebration. Ghosh is widely published in the field of Postcolonial studies and her research interests include postcolonial literature, Partition and borderlands, Kashmir Studies, Postcolonial and feminist theory, cultural studies, race and South Asia, Bollywood and the nation state. Ghosh is currently working on a monograph on new literature from Kashmir, upcoming in 2022 with Lexington Books and is also an occasional podcaster on myriad topics like decolonization, feminism, arts and culture at SpaceInk, a joint collaboration from Calcutta and New York.
