Learn how to talk about art, and apply your observations to famous Dada and Surrealist artworks! In this course, we’ll teach you how to analyze art and express your own opinions about different artworks. You’ll hone your analytical skills while studying Dada and Surrealism, two overlapping art movements of the 20th century.
We’ll talk about the historical and cultural happenings that birthed these movements, from world war to Freud’s psychoanalysis. Artists include: Max Ernst, Marcel Duchamp, Salvador Dalí, Leonora Carrington, and more!

About Your Instructor
Chloe is an art writer and researcher based in Amsterdam. Chloe earned her Master’s in Art History from Courtauld Institute in London and her Bachelor’s in Art History from Tufts University. In addition to conducting art history research and leading courses for ArtsClub, Chloe is also ArtsClub’s Social Media Manager.
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
