Description

Every piece starts with a pattern. Our designers will guide you through copying a your own garment into a block pattern that you can use again and again. You will leave with a completed pattern.

What you need: A garment you want to duplicate. We recommend you bring a few options. We will not cover sizing or grading in this class so please bring something that is the size you want to make. We provide the pattern paper and tools.

This class is instructor-led and we cannot accommodate late students, or it slows the class for the others. The doors to this class will close at 11am sharp.

Note:

  • It is highly recommended (but not required) for students to bring their own sewing machine and materials so they can learn how to control and work with their own tools.
  • A 15$ material fee is optional and collected at start of class if the student wishes to make a project to take home with them.

Refund Policy

Classes can be rescheduled with 2 business days but refunds for classes are not available.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

    This was such a great course! Very practical and instructive in getting started in pattern making. I'm definitely a beginner in sewing and I don't really have any experience in patterns but it didn't matter since the course was easy to follow along. It was great leaving with a complete pattern and it turned out more professional than I thought it would. Scarlett and Haley were so patient and kind in their instruction. They really were so great, even with the complicated dress I brought. I would definitely recommend this course and can't wait to try out my pattern!

    Make sure you take any of the classes at Junim with Haley! She's super friendly, knowledgable and very attentive. Still have to say that I think the class was a bit too expensive and wish we had used up the whole time to work on things!

    Great class. I enjoyed learning with Haley. She is a very good instructor - attentive and constantly aware of what you are doing, ready to help or run to your rescue, but not hovering over which gives you time to make mistakes, redo, formulate your questions, train your hand and eye, and learn to work with the tools at your own pace. It was fun time, very productive for me as I completed a project I wanted to do. And now I'm ready for the next step in making my outfit. I'd definitely recommend this class.
