  • Sewing Made Easy, Level 3: Techniques

  • Sewing Made Easy, Level 3: Techniques

Of the three "Sewing Made Easy" series of classes, in my opinion level three is the hardest course. Level three covers different sewing techniques, so a student had to learn Pockets: inseam, patch, welt ; Zippers: regular, invisible; Pleats, Narrow hem. You also had to learn how to finish a neckline with a bias binding, basting and gathering, and know how to use different kinds of sewing machine feet to accomplish this. A student had to learn all these skills in five two hours session. Its non-stop demonstration, then performing the skills in a sewing machine, its a very fast paced course. I feel the time in classroom is not enough for practice the skills, so if one had a sewing machine at home to practice the the skills/material in his/her own time that would be ideal. Also, I recommend the student to supplement class sessions with online learning resources that cover above topics. Online sewing courses from Craftsy, Evelyn Wood online Sewing School, Pockets Unpicked course that cover above topics is recommended.
