Many people don't think that they're creative, and others have a sense that they might be, but can't quite seem to tap into it. The truth is that we're all creative, but fear holds us back. We're afraid that what we create will not be good enough, or that we'll be judged... And then there are the other things that thwart our creativity: TV, the laundry, the internet, kids... all of those everyday distractions.
Whether you are a blocked artist, an artist who wants to take your creativity to the next level, or someone who just wishes they could be more creative, this class is for you.
The Artist's Way is a powerful program that can remove obstacles that block your creative energy.
What you will get from this course:
Creativity Exercises -Although this is mainly a discussion group, we do reserve a chunk of time each class to play and flex our creative muscles! These exercises can range from drawing silly pictures, to blackout poetry, writing silly stories, haikus, expressive painting, collage... the list goes on! All art supplies are included in the registration fee, and NO artistic talent or experience is required!
This does require a commitment of time and energy - and it is worth it. You will need to carve out at least 30 minutes a day - and an additional 30-60 minutes once or twice a week. So we're looking at 5-6 hours a week in addition to the Sunday classes.
