Do communication problems waste your time and money?

Improving Communications provides individuals and organizations with Business Writing, Public Speaking, Customer Service, Leadership, and UB4I® Sales training classes, as well as supplying a dynamic and engaging speaker for events.

Communication problems waste time and money. Ineffective communication also causes morale problems. Eighty percent of corporate waste can be attributed to deficient communication. Due to poor English-speaking skills, the economy loses an estimated $75 billion annually (Fortune Magazine, 2003).

By providing communication skills training, businesses help individuals to write, speak, serve customers, and lead people more effectively. Positive results of these trainings mean efficient use of time and resources, increased client retention and sales, and increased credibility for managers and supervisors. An engaging and informative motivational speaker inspires your audience to reach greater achievements and grow your business.

Communication skills training helps individuals grow.

Small class size allowed for a more tailored discussion on topics of interest covered within class. Four hours was a bit tight to cram all that knowledge in, but somehow he made it work.

This class was fantastic. The points that were covered were extremely relevant and sparked very healthy discussion. The course book is a great resource that is easy to use and our instructor, Rich Atkins, was very knowledable, personable and funny. A great class that I would recommend for veteran and beginners in leadership roles.

Very insightful, great exercises. I would advise doing this over the course of two days though, as one very long class with is exhausting. Other than that, it was a very positive experience.

This was a really fun class. Small groups in varying business platforms. John Epstein was a very good moderator/educator.

This was a very well lead class. The instructor was very nice and easy to follow. He was also thoughtful, open and honest. I was very thankful also that he announced all the breaks, lunch and other housekeepings before the session so that we did not have to worry about that and could focus on the content. I would recommend him for sure to anyone looking to address their customer service needs. The content of the class was well thought out - the handouts were very relatable and used real-world examples to both illustrate and relate seemingly dense concepts in an easy to follow format!

The course was good, but some improvements may help. (1) I think there were too many people relative to the size of the room; it would have been better to hold fewer people in that room or use a much larger room, for a more comfortable seating arrangement and a chance to cover more content during the day (2) The instructor didn't stick to the schedule he announced at the beginning of the class and bypassed a designated break by over an hour (3) It would have helped to have had water bottles in the room or announced to the entire class at the beginning of class where water was located. I was very uncomfortable during the first ~2.5 hours because I was need in water but was too polite to disrupt the class to go get a drink. I was waiting to ask during the 10:30 break, which didn't happen until 11:45 or so my discomfort made it slightly more difficult to focus on the class.
