Whether you are looking for one-on-one lessons or want to form a group with friends and family, ABC Languages customized program is a great way to build your Japanese skills with lessons designed just for you! Our team of language experts will match you with one of our professional Japanese instructors who will craft a curriculum for your learning needs and goals. Lessons are available online or at your home or office in Manhattan. Here is an outline of how our program works:

Step 1: To get started, choose from one of the Mondays listed below to indicate what week you would like your Japanese lessons to start and complete the sign-up process on Coursehorse.

Step 2: Your ABC Languages advisor will reach out to learn about your learning needs, goals and scheduling and location preferences. (Instructors are available 7 days a week).

Step 3: Start your lessons! Once we have matched you with the perfect instructor for your needs, we will schedule your first lesson and get your learning started.

Step 4:  After your first lesson, you let us know which of the below packages you would like to purchase and the $50 you paid on Coursehorse will be deducted from your tuition package. On the off chance you find the instructor is not a good fit, the lesson is on us and we will be happy to find you an alternate instructor or you can request a refund. Satisfaction guaranteed!

Refund Policy

Note: This provider has a temporary cancellation policy for COVID-19 related cancellations which is as follows: 

Cancellations made 3 or more days in advance will receive a full credit for a rescheduled date with this provider

Original cancellation policy (non-COVID-19):

Withdrawal from a contracted course must occur at least seven (7) business days prior to the start of the program for a full refund. Any subsequent withdrawal from a contracted course, for whatever reason, will result in forfeiture of the total cost of enrollment.


Enrollments are for consecutively scheduled classes. If you miss a class during a 4, 6 or 8-week enrollment, the class will be forfeited. Students who have purchased a 12-week enrollment will be allowed to miss any one (1) class and will receive a make-up class which will come in the form of a 13th consecutive class. Please note, this is not a private lesson.


Classes may be canceled due to inclement weather. We will contact all students in the event of a cancellation.You agree to the above statements and you allow ABC Language Exchange to bill your card for the minimum enrollment. If, for any reason, you must cancel your enrollment, you must do so seven (7) business days before the first class.


Private Lesson Cancellation Policy: If you need to cancel a scheduled class, you must do so the business day before 24 hours before the scheduled lesson, otherwise you will be charged for the class.


MAKE-UP POLICY
The enrollment in a group is for consecutively scheduled classes. However, in case students miss a class, we do send an email with the material covered, the homework assignment and handouts (if any). This way, students are able to study the material, do the homework and be prepared for the subsequent class.

In general, if students miss one class, is not something that would jeopardize the course. However, each student has a way to process new information.
