Class Description

Description

While the internet and social media have democratized access to information, allowing rapid knowledge sharing, this accessibility creates challenges: not everyone with publishing capability truly understands complex subjects, particularly regarding wine's intricate and multifaceted character.

A wine specialist with over twenty years of experience working in food and beverage service, plus previous experience as a sommelier, will address common wine misunderstandings and respond to your real-time questions. Chris Struck will help you navigate confusing elements of this beloved beverage, all while enjoying tasting selections that demonstrate these principles in action.

This two-hour class includes a Q&A session where you can directly engage with our expert sommelier.

Learning Experience Includes:

  • Welcome glass of wine
  • Six distinct wine pours showcasing terroir influences versus winemaker technique
  • Palate-resetting bread and cheese service
  • Twenty percent discount on all wines tasted, redeemable at the venue after class

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Overview of winemaking processes and wine style categories
  • Clarification of abstract wine vocabulary and ideas, including terroir definition
  • Understanding how climate concerns, international trade, and shifting consumer patterns will impact vineyard managers and winemakers
  • Discovering why wine represents one of history's most distinctive, culturally important, and captivating human creations

All class purchases are non-refundable.
