Great presenter, very intelligently organized and thoughtful toward the class members. The information was very helpful and it gave me a starting point to organizing my own thoughts. I thought the class was a little bit too long.

For some reason, I was expecting a more robust workshop. I was sent 4 documents and we literally went page by page through their handout. This was a real waste of money! I know how to read so I could have easily gone through it. Also, a lot that was overviewed you could easily pull up on youtube! Gosh, you don't get that time back 3 hours of purely reading a handbook. I mean waste your time if you want but even if you know nothing literally researching will prove to be more helpful! Extremely disappointed.

I really enjoyed this class and found it the content/materials supplied very helpful! I'd love to see what other classes he teaches that I might be interested in checking out. There were some minor tech issues throughout but that wasn't the teachers fault.

The teacher was great, but the location is not. The parking situation is not addressed correctly. If you’re going to this location, you can plan to park at metered parking in front of the building—the lot they said to use is far behind the building and you can’t find the place to purchase a day pass. If you park on the street near the lot, you have to walk around a city block, the area smells really bad, there are people urban camping all around. If you want to grab lunch, there’s a jack in the box across the street, but you have to get through all the street vendors with their sheets of what appears like a yard sale. In fact, some of the regular businesses are closed, and there’s just people everywhere selling all sorts of second hand items. Unless you live nearby, I would not take a class there. I had received one email from course horse that had one classroom location; then another email with a different location—then when I got there, a woman waiting for a class asked what class I was waiting for, it was the same class—she had a totally different class location, the room next door. After the class start time, a group of people gathered waiting for the class; because I had the other class room on my receipt, I went to the other class to check. I tried the office, but no one was there. At ELAC, they at least have someone in the community service office to help with questions and the parking is really easy to navigate; the neighborhood is pretty clean too. When the teacher arrived, one of my classmates, with whom I’d exchanged numbers, was kind enough to text me. Another student was lost, I encountered her in my travels at the other classroom. The instructor had also been lost. The class experience itself was very positive and helpful; the instructor is knowledgeable and devoted sufficient time to answering questions. I have a very clear to do list of steps to take, resources to pursue, etc. I’m glad I took the class, so it gets 3 stars.
