Become a Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) instructor for the American Heart Association through this comprehensive course. The program includes instructor materials and requires online coursework completed before class begins.
Eligibility Requirements: You must currently hold a valid PALS certification before enrolling in the instructor course. You must be a Registered Nurse, Paramedic, Respiratory Therapist, or higher-level provider. You must also be an experienced BLS and ACLS instructor, though exceptions exist based on demonstrated experience.
Before Class Begins: Complete the online portion and bring your completion certificate to the start of your first session.
Post-Course Commitment: After completing classroom instruction, you will co-teach multiple PALS classes to demonstrate your teaching competency, typically requiring approximately 30 hours, though this may be significantly more based on your experience and teaching ability.
School Notes: All of the courses that we have students sign up for through CourseHorse are skills sessions. Skills sessions require that the student complete an online testing portion through the American Heart Association, that online testing portion is a separate charge from our class fee for facilitating the skills session in the class room.
We offer full provider classes that are all done in class without the need to complete an online test before the class starts.
