Learn how to photograph challenging images such as statues and waterfalls at twilight!
Here is a great opportunity to get outdoor fieldwork experience and advanced training in such technical areas as “white balance”, mixed lighting, exposure compensation, and ISO settings in a twilight and nighttime setting at the Tidal Basin.
Conducted by professional photographer and WPS director E, David Luria, this safari will take you through the photographic challenges presented by the statues and waterfalls of the FDR Memorial, and by the reflected images of the Washington Monument, the MLK Jr. Memorial, and the Jefferson Memorial in the waters of the Tidal Basin. You will also learn how to blur your water images with slow shutter speeds, and how to fill your frame with haunting nighttime images of the Civilian Conservation Corps faces. Mr. Luria will instruct you on how to shoot on Manual mode and how to adjust the white balance settings for the most accurate color.
Must have STURDY tripod, masks and social distancing, limited to 6 people.
