What you'll learn in this kids crafts class:

In this three day camp, students will create some magical mermaid crafts. Create a clay mermaid tail, mermaid cat painting, and magic mini aquarium.

Day 1: Mermaid Tail Sculpture. Students will use air dry clay to create their own mermaid tail sculpture.

Day 2: Mermaid Cat Painting. Students will check on their mermaid tails sculpture. They will then paint their sculptures. Afterwards they will move onto their second project creating a mermaid cat painting.

Day 3: Mini Mermaid Aquarium. Students will create their own mini aquarium using mason jar and more.

Materials Lists:

Day 1

  • Air dry clay
  • Cup of water
  • Optional: clay tools

Day 2

  • 8 x 10 Canvas
  • Acrylic paint
  • Cup of water
  • Pencil

Day 3

  • 16 ounce plastic mason jar with lid
  • Filtered water (tap water works, but may be cloudy)
  • Plastic aquarium plants
  • Aquarium gravel or small rocks
  • Plastic fish and/or figurines like mermaids
  • Seashells starfish, etc
  • Optional: Submersible candle lights (if you want these to be night lights)
  • Optional: Blue food coloring, E6000 glue

Refund Policy
When class/workshop enrollment is below the minimum five days prior to the first day of class, the class may be cancelled. If there is a cancellation, we will contact registered students at least 4 days before the start of the class/workshop by email or by phone.

We will offer students the option to transfer into another class or receive a full refund for the amount paid.

Classes are not refunded due to failure to attend class, planned absences, minor illnesses, or vacations.

If you drop a class:
  • You will receive a 100% refund minus a $15 administrative fee if you drop a class at least 7 days before it starts. 
  • You will receive a 50% refund minus a $15 administrative fee if you drop a class after this point but before the second day of class. 
  • There are no refunds after the second class.
If you drop a workshop:
  • You will receive a 100% refund minus a $15 administrative fee if you drop a class at least 7 days before it starts. No refunds or credit will be given after this point.
