Olya Losina

Teaches at Prima Materia Institute

Olya Losina is a co-Founder of Prima Materia Institute and the Creative Director who develops the programs at the Institute. She has a MFA degree from Moscow, Russia. She teaches advanced coaching, mentoring for professional artists, leads the “Learn to Paint in One Day” workshop, heads Teacher Training Program, conducts Team-Building Workshops, and teaches ongoing monthly Projects on Thursdays and Fridays. As an artist and art collector, Olya is a member of the Contemporary Arts Committee, the support group for the San Diego Museum of Art.

Olya Losina has been teaching since 1993. Losina received her MFA in studio art from Moscow University, Russia. As the creator of the Losina Method of accelerated training, Losina has made it her mission to elevate art education to the status of literacy. She has worked with hundreds of high-school students to prepare them for acceptance at the top universities in the US and Europe, and worked with professional artists to guide them through creating a strong unique body of work that they can submit to galleries and exhibitions.
