Laurie Fuller

Teaches at Art on 30th

​Laurie has been drawing and painting as long as she can remember and growing up, she couldn’t imagine doing anything other than art for a career. Since painting probably wasn’t going to pay the bills, she focused my college studies on graphic design and illustration. Fresh out of college she got a job designing ads for the yellow pages – very non-glamorous, but a start! From there the road led to a fun graphics and illustration job at a bicycle clothing company, then on to creating educational software for kids and graphics for computer-based training and medical equipment. Peppered in were several wonderful opportunities to illustrate books. Serendipity led her into the online gaming world where she created user interface design and at least a million and a half tiny icons for massively multiplayer online games.

With her recent retirement from the "real" working world, she's back to drawing and painting every day and couldn’t be happier to be reunited with her first, true loves! Finding Art on 30th has kindled the fire by connecting her with a community of artists who challenge and encourage her daily. Laurie is very excited to be teaching in such a creative and uplifting environment. Her passion is to make creating art accessible to everyone by sharing knowledge and ideas, and to encourage the creative spirit that she believe lives in all of us.
