Leigh Ettinger MD, while in medical school at Tufts University School of Medicine in the mid-90s, was a paid research study participant in a nutrition study. He recalls spending overnight in the hospital for blood tests after two weeks of drinking a lot of Sprite, which further spurred his interest in nutrition.
