Never drew before and drew a recognizable cup! Highly recommended
-
Excellent class!Teacher very helpful and encouraging.
-
-
-
This was a great introduction to watercolor painting for me. I loved the small class size and interactive nature of the instruction. I'll be back!!
-
Th e teacher was kind and helpful. She answered my questions and was very knowledgeable and informative
-
-
-
-
-
Loved this intro class to watercolor. The instructor gave great direction and I enjoyed the techniques that were shown for watercolors.
-
-
A great introductory class. The instructor was great, very friendly and informative. We learned a couple different watercolor painting techniques and had the freedom to create whatever we wanted, just following the flow. Highly recommend!
-
-
I was unable to access the class, therefore I did not take the class.
-
Great instructions for beginners. I learned about techniques, materials and composition.
-
-
Good part: feedback at the end
Class was basically watching instructor paint. It moved to fast and was not suitable for a beginner. Class ended in 55 minutes. Why rush?
Reference photo should have been provided prior to course.
Class was more of a introduction to the instructor and her art program .
Overall: I think instructor is knowledgeable about watercolors as an artist.
-
Instructor is very knowledgeable. It would be helpful to provide some more detailed information prior to the class, such as provide your own landscape photo to use or have a copy of the one the instructor will use. Perhaps having the opportunity to sketch it out ahead of time would allow for more time to paint and not feel so rushed.
-
-
Kiya Nicole was a great instructor - this was a fun and relaxing way to get an introduction to different water color painting methods.
-
-
It was easy to access, helpful and fun. Didnt feel like I missed anything by it being virtual
-
-
-
-
I found myself wishing it was more step by step with feedback and encouragement along the way. The water on water technique seemed to get lost quickly.
-
Had a blast as did my son who snuck on to paint too.
-
Teacher was encouraging and gave great tips. I felt very inspired to create.
Wish the class was longer and the zoom meeting less laggy but that's not the teacher's fault.
-
The instructor gave great information that I’m already using. Enjoyed the class so much I already sign up for another one!
-
Very goodinstructor. Only issue was that it was difficult to listen and watch the instructor at the same time trying to produce a drawing, class was only one hour so there was really not enough time to draw and watch, excellent suggestions, though!
-
-
-
-
I learned some helpful and useful techniques. The instructor was extremely positive and gave us all encouragement to keep on practicing and also to enjoy the journey of learning to depict the world with our pens, pencils, and paints!
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
Loved it. Will be booking more classes
-
Kiya demonstrated step by step how to approach painting a landscape from a photo that she had chosen. Students painted along and in this small group she answered our questions about color mixing, perspective drawing, textures, and layering color. It was a relaxed class and she encouraged us to experiment.
-
As a person who has been a “beginner” at drawing for years, I found the class very helpful.
-
-
Kiya was a great instructor. Took this class to not only learn a new technique but also get out of my comfort zone. She definitely helped me achieve those goals. 10/10 recommend! I will definitely be attending another one of her classes.
-
-
-
Instructor demonstrated beginning watercolor techniques. She was very encouraging in viewing our individual attempts. She made you feel that you wanted to keep at it!!!
-
-
Very fun and easy to follow
-
I love the class ❤️
-
-
-
-
Excellent instructor, one hour not long enough though, please consider increasing length of class.
-
I love the class because it is for my daughter; I also like that what she learns is practical, and she can apply it to her art.
-
-
Class was good, I think it could have used a little more structure to try out different techniques. It was experimental and fun.
-
Instructor was very warm and knowledgeable.
-
Kiya was an inspiring teacher. The class really emphasized experimentation. She offered many great ideas.
-
-
I couldn’t replicate the instructor’s techniques. It certainly wasn’t the fault of this excellent instructor. I have taken 3 of her other classes. She is excellent. Mine might have been a paper problem, but not sure.
I’ll take more classes from this instructor!
This class just didn't bring me the joy of creating. It was a method workshop.
-
It should be longer than an hour.
-
This class was a quick introduction to drawing and shading.
I thought that the instructor did a good job of explaining basics of drawing and
I enjoyed the exercises I did with the class.
I would recommend this class highly for a beginner
-
I enjoyed it very much, the teacher had some good tips.
-
I enjoyed the class immensely; Kiya was knowledgeable, patient & upbeat. I would love to take another class from her!
-
-
Instructor, Kiya Nicole, very encouraging and helpful. I love the way she runs her classes. We get started quickly without. a lot of unnecessary talking. The landscape watercolor class needs to be 1-1/2 hr. long. I have signed up for 4 of her classes. Like to see her teach a longer duration watercolor for beginners class.
-
Really enjoyed the class, will take another!
-
-
-
Too short, should be 90 minutes.
-
-
Our instructor led us through a great lesson and was really descriptive of how to work with our paper and paint. Class flew by! Definitely recommend if you want a new calming hobby.
-
Good class. Nice instructor. Good for beginners.
-
The instructor is so clear & encouraging. I so much enjoyed her class. I registered for another 2 that she teaches. So rewarding!
-
-
Very informative and encouraging
-
I enjoyed getting reacquainted with watercolors, but I will admit that one hour wasn't enough to really get the ropes. We had to move pretty quickly and I would have preferred to slow things down and get a better breakdown of the techniques.
-
Great to learn painting from a photo!
-
-
Mary is an excellent teacher. She’s talented, enthusiastic, patient, articulate and soft spoken. Her instructions are easy to understand and encouraging. She instills a sense of confidence in her students and encourages childlike artistic exploration. I definitely will take another course with her!
-
Instructor provided clear directions, was supportive and friendly. She interacted well with her students, answering questions, giving advice, allowing freedom to encourage creativity. Excellent class. Would have been even better if 30 minutes longer.
-
Excellent instructor. Good pace. Encouraging of beginners.
Happy w/ my work!
Would take another beginner class from Amy Wentsh(?)
-
-
The instructor was very good. She explained several techniques and provided helpful feedback.
-
-
I enjoyed the class and the teaching style. I was glad with my own progress within that hour. I plan to take more classes when my schedule works
-
Unfortunately I was unable to participate and was so looking forward to it! $15 off next class would be great.
-
-
Worth the $25 dollars to make me break out and buy some supplies and have an hour of creating. Our instructor was helpful and very kind. I enjoyed the discussion she had with each "artist" before the end of our classes. I enjoyed seeing their work and hearing a little bit about how they went about it. The work itself was very free form and abstract. More an experimentation in using the watercolors and how they work with the water on the paper and with each other.. But, experimentation without pressure is a great way to start! I would like to take another class in the future.
-
-
-
Excellent teacher; she packs a lot into the hour, and is always personable, supportive and positive.
-
Kiya was knowledgeable and explained techniques in an easy and clear manner. Her passion for drawing and sharing her expertise was appreciated. I will definitely take another course taught by Kiya.
-
A fun hour spend looking at how to use everyday items - from salt to soap- to change the look and texture of watercolor paintings. Instructor was experimenting along with students in this inaugural class. I really like the way Kiya encourages class to try different things and be open to experimenting creatively. I wish the class had been longer. I would have like to know more about some of the techniques and some of the effects needed additional time to dry. But overall, a relaxing and informative way to learn new ideas.
-
-
It was too short
-
I thoroughly enjoyed the class. Kiya was very astute and thoughtful with her individual comments at the end of the session. The only thing keeping it from a 5th star is something none of us can do anything about: having to experience the class virtually because of the pandemic. It would have been so helpful to have Kiya walking around as we worked to give tailored advice on the wet-on-wet technique, e.g., how much water we were using, was our paper too dry, etc. Regardless, I am happy to have had the virtual experience rather than none at all and would certainly take another virtual class until in-person options return. Thanks, Kiya!
-
-
-
I enjoyed it. She’s a great teacher. It was a little too fast paced for me
-
I really enjoyed learning techniques of watercolor paints. Thank you
-
-
-
VERY basic. Very little information for an hour class...
A bit disappointing...
-
I had so much fun! Hoping to take another class soon!
-
It was relaxing, which I really needed right now. I had never taken any kind of art class before. The class gave me the confidence to just experiment with the paints.
-
I loved this class! I will say it took me a little bit to get used to the idea that we would not be painting anything specific, rather learning more about how watercolor works and how to work with a medium. But it was a lovely space to play and experiment. I hope to take another one of hers In the future.
-
The teacher was lovely and I enjoyed the class.
-
Enjoyed the class a lot. Kiya is a great treacher.
-
Fun, relaxing, good instruction and demonstration. Also enjoyed seeing other students’ work.
-
-
Great class. Even if you have no experience you will come away feeling like you can be creative and make something interesting. The instructor, while demonstrating and talking you through the basics, helps you feel like there are "no wrong answers" but lots of ways to create images and explore color.
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
She is very patient, encouraging and clear with her instruction. I would be happy to take another class led by her.
-
The teacher was really wonderful - easy to follow, very easy to understand, pleasant to be with. She covered a lot of ground in the hour. I never tried watercolor before and loved this class. I look forward to taking more classes with her.
-
I was looking for more structure in the class. It was a little too abstract for me.
-
-
-
Kiya was a excellent instructor and very positive. I would have liked to have seen a couple samples before the class. I would also have liked to know that we needed a 1- 2 inch brush before the class started. I might’ve missed something.
-
The instructor spoke clearly & patiently. She was very positive in her comments.
-
-
-
-
-
Good class!
-
-
The course provided helpful instructions.
-
Excellent teacher with great tutorials on water color techniques. My mom did the class as well and really enjoyed it!
-
Kiya was very thoughtful asking each class member about themselves and what they expected. She then told us a little about herself and her artistic interests. This was my second class having begun with Jade Scarlett's landscape class. I found that challenging but very enjoyable. I thought that a beginning class would provide me with more techniques to use in the future.
My problem with Kiya's class was that I could not see what she was demonstrating very well. Her zoom screen was the same size as all of the other screens and so was too small, to see clearly, compared to the size of the screen Jade used. This may have been my fault because I am not very tech savvy. I should have asked Kiya if I was supposed to do something to make her screen larger.
I know I would have gotten more out of the class if I could have seen Kiya's demonstrations more clearly
-
-
The course was fun, no pressure, and easy to follow. It is only an hour so it is about doing abstract work -- just learning to use the paint and water - different techniques.
-
-
Instructor was right on time and very knowledgeable & personable.Addressed each at beginning of class and critiqued everyone at the end. I loved the class and it motivated me to continue watercolors as a new hobby.Thank you Kiya
-
-
A balance of instruction and encouragement so I was able to complete something beautiful.
-
-
-
Kiya is super talented, extremely kind and patient. Great class!
-
This was a good class to get comfortable with the paints, brushes and what you can do with them when you add water. Perfect introductory class and very nice calming teacher.
-
It was very informative and a lot of fun. I love the teacher and everyone was being very curious and collegial! LOVE IT
-
Great intro to basic techniques!
-
-
-
Fantastic class, learnt new watercolor techniques, it was also really relaxing!
-
-
-
Nice, laid-back class. Really enjoyed it.
-
-
I really enjoyed the class. The instructor, Kiya Nicole, is delightful. She packs a lot of essentials into one hr., and offers strategic encouragement to improve your drawing. I highly recommend this course!
-
The teacher was great! She got a sense of everyone’s level before she began and made everyone welcome. She explained what she was doing step by step, and gave us specific directions while still allowing plenty of room for original exploration. Finally, she discussed with each of us what we had created. It was a really nice intro to the possibilities of watercolors on an abstract level.
-
Enjoyed the class and the other participants were nice but I would have hoped we would be taught more about technique like brush strokes. I didn’t learn much and didn’t realize it was just an hour of free form painting.
-
Instructor was delightful but no technique teaching. I think it was too expensive to basically paint together on line.
-
Great class!
-
Kiya is a patient and extremely helpful teacher. Great for novices !
-
great beginner class. fun and relaxing.Deborah
-
I enjoyed class so much and came away with new skills and confidence! Kiya is an incredible instructor!
-
-
I hadn't painted with watercolor before so everything was new to me. First thing I want to say is that it was so much fun! We did an abstract painting with water and the watercolor paints. There were many tips and suggestions when I there were questions.
-
-
-
-
-
I really enjoyed this class; I went in feeling like I would create a mess, but with some guidance from the instructor I was able to create something I was happy with!
-
I am a beginner she's definitely learnt a lot of new things! Teacher very pleasant person.
-
I really enjoyed this class. Our instructress was extremely helpful for beginners. I’m definitely going to take another class with her.
-
-
-
I loved it! I learned many techniques and also was able to draw something that looked better than I'd expected.
-
-
-
-
Unfortunately I couldn’t take the class!!! I had to work on Saturday and I forgot to reschedule it
-
Too lacking in Structure
-
Great quick run through of watercolor basics, core techniques and fun exercises to get more comfortable with the medium.
-
The class was what I was expecting. I felt contained and informed. The instructor had the ability to communicate basics of watercolor techniques in a relaxed manner. I really recommend this class. You will end up feeling you can start something.
-
-
Kiya was an excellent drawing instructor. Her guidance was clear and she offered suggestions to each participant. I look forward to taking another class from Kiya.
-
Kiya was great and helped us learn basic watercolor techniques. Very laidback class and she was super easy to follow and learn from!
-
-
She was very helpful and friendly.
-
The teacher is wonderful, supportive, clear, open-minded, and I would take her class again.
-
relaxing class
-
-
Best watercolor class I ever took. Excellent instructor made it so fun
-
-
This class was so much fun and she taught specific techniques and encouraged our exploration. A lovely instructor I am looking for other classes she teaches.
-
I am a true beginner to watercolor, and Kiya Nicole's class was the perfect introduction. I have wanted to learn watercolor painting for years but was always a little too intimidated by other courses I saw offered. Kiya Nicole's focus on experimentation and her ability to describe what she's doing in a way we could emulate it made watercolor painting feel very approachable and relaxing. Too, I was very appreciative of her choice in the materials we needed for class because her suggestions were a good balance of quality and affordability. I enjoyed the class so much, in fact, that I signed up to take it a second time just to be able to pick up on some of the nuances she shared that I wasn't able to explore the first time. Highly recommend!
-
This was a great beginner class for learning some basics and techniques to improve how to approach a landscape composition (perspective, depth, angles, etc). I look forward to taking some more drawing classes on the other topics that Kiya teaches and increase my knowledge further.
-
I could not find the link. Nothing was sent so I could join.
-
The class moved at a good pace, great help and feedback to all participants, I learned new techniques. Thank you!!
-
The class was perfect! It was nice to (virtually) work alongside Kiya as she walked us through the techniques.
-
It was terrific, and lots of fun. Kiya was informative and encouraging, and was had a lovely time.
Thank you!
-
I really enjoyed the class. The teacher was very directed and encouraging. Gave good clear instructions.
-
It was a wonderful class, learned many techniques and tricks in a single hour!!!! Great teacher.
-
-
I never received a zoom link for the course and I want my refund back ASAP thank you
-
For it to be my 1st time in watercolors, it soo cool to learn it from the Zoom prospective because of Covid, but overall its really relaxing.
-
-
I think the class was very good for the length of time but would have liked a longer class and learn to use watercolor on dry paper as well as wet
-
Loved the class bc teacher is really talented and knows to teach well .
Highly recommending her .
-
Kiya was great! The perfect amount of instruction for a beginner. And you can tell she loves what she does. I’d highly recommend the class.
-
Good enough and fun. The instructor was very nice. I think I excepted more Instruction.
-
It was so much fun and a great experience!!
-
Good introduction with a variety of techniques. Liked that she individually critiqued each persons piece. Was fun to see what others accomplished.
-
-
Loved her, want a part 2!
-
-
Great teacher , lovely class
-
Such a great class . Teacher has the best energy . Felt like doing meditation .
Highly recommended .
-
Instructor was very good! Patient and complementary, open to questions. Lovely class!
-
Great class - lots of useful tips that I would not have gotten on my own. Definitely recommend!
-
-
The teacher was excellent. Her instructions were clear, informative, and helpful. Her upbeat attitude made the class fun! She was available to answer questions.
-
Good and clear instruction from a kind teacher.
-
Nice class. Good teaching
-
Teacher was very good. I enjoyed this class.
-
The class was very enjoyable and the teacher friendly. One hour is very short, though. It would be nice to learn and practice some techniques before getting into the painting itself, and also having an opportunity for some more interaction with the teacher along the way.
-
-
It was great! I would take the course and the instructor again.
-
I was late to the class and the professor was very patient and happy to go over techniques she had discussed. She also offered feedback and tips on our work. Great class!
-
What a great experience this was! Inspirational, confidence-building & helpful!
-
-
This was a great class—a perfect balance of instruction, independent work and feedback. Thank you!
-
-
Sorry but I missed the session so did not get to have the experience. I don't know if I can get credit for another session.
-
Enjoyed the class and I am still practicing! Excellent teacher.
-
The techniques that were shown were good for a beginner and shown very clearly. The instructor checked in a good amount of time with each student to make sure we we understood her instructions.
-
-
Lots of fun with a teacher who is very attentive to the needs of the individual.
-
-
-
I missed the class.
-
This class was very fast and fun! We completed an abstract piece (not my forte) so it definitely took me outside of my comfort zone and challenged me. Kiya was a great teacher and made this interesting and fun. The class flew by and we covered several techniques to complete a final composition. Kiya was patient, encouraging and very helpful to all attendees in the class. I am very happy that I took the class and got to explore new ideas and styles of watercolor painting.
-
Great class! I learned so many techniques in an extremely short time and the teacher was very knowledgeable, kind and supportive.
-
-
My kids enjoyed this class with Kiya! She is very patient and walked them through a guided activity but encouraged them to paint whatever they felt like if they wanted to do something different. She taught them some fun techniques (splatter was the favorite) and provided very encouraging feedback at the end of the class for all of the students. Unfortunately we had to leave early due to internet issues, but they both would love to take another class with her in the future!
-
-
Our instructor was great. I learned many watercolor techniques!
-
Learned some stuff. It primed me to learn more. Instructor was terrific.
-
Wonderful introduction to technique. Now I am confident to work independently
-
She gave me confidence to continue my watercolor journey.
-
This was a great beginner watercolor class. I learned how to prepare the water colors and set up the paper for painting. I love how the instructor did a quick overview of different techniques so that we could just get a feel for the techniques and perfect them later. It was great!
-
-
The course provided exactly what I hoped: a jump-start for experimenting with free-form watercolor painting. The instructor gave clear and simple instructions and was very supportive to all the participants. I would certainly take a follow-up class.
-
I was unable to attend the class due to a family emergency but am looking forward to signing up again as I have heard nothing but good about it!!! Liz
-
-
Wish class had been a bit smaller.
Wish instructor didn't compliment everybody's work....mine was bad and I needed guidance.
She was focused on intense colors---those of us who used gouache in tubes mostly had the opposite problem....we didn't use enough water.
Class was ok, but I was hoping for more.
-
Kiya was great! I enjoyed a lot. I'm looking forward to taking her class again
-
Clear and explained every question. I’d take another class from her.
-
-
My daughter really enjoyed the class and would love to take more with Kiya.
-
Teacher was incredibly patient and skillful. A really wonderful exposure to beginning drawing with lots of tips and techniques. I highly recommend her.
-
-
Lots of fun. The instructor was very very encouraging and helpful.
-
-
Fun class, great teacher!
-
-
I loved this class and learned so much about watercolor. Was very engaging and fun.
-
-
-
-
-
Kiya was great! Fun class that covered a lot for such a short time.
-
I loved the class. This was my first time water coloring and I was a little embarrassed by my paintings but I have invested in some better watercolor paints and will continue to practice techniques. Kiya was wonderful, I will definitely take more classes in the future
Linda
-
-
Teacher was sweet and knowledgeable but it was too slow for me .. would have liked to see at least one more technique.
-
Kiya was a great teacher, very clear and attentive and well-organized. The hour flew by, and a lot of good information on techniques and strategies was given. Hope to take her other classes soon---she's a gem!
-
The teacher was wonderful, very engaging and helpful but maybe an hour is just too short. We didn't really learn anything, just making marks on paper. Not enough content. But maybe the idea is just to get you started, to dip your brush in paints for the first time. I'm glad I did it though because it reminded me of how much I like to paint.
-
-
This was an awesome class. We enjoyed it so much! Kiya was great!
-
Kiya is a thoughtful teacher and helped with good suggestions.
-
It was a fast and nicely presented class. I will do another class with the instructor. I don't have the instructors email. However, I would like to show her my completed art. I forgot to record her email address.
-
-
-
-
Kiya was very patient and explained the concepts clearly. I would have liked to watch her do another watercolor, as I'm a total beginner. I've painted a few abstract paintings after the class so Kiya helped me reach my goal of being able to do an abstract painting.
-
This class was excellent. Kiya gave very specific instructions and visual directions. She was very positive and spent time with each of us. I would take her class again just to try and remember more details.
Barb McNemar
-
Kiyra taught by giving you the experience of practicing various watercolor techniques and ways to think about your painting. She painted along with us. Then if you wanted she critiqued your work, being very supportive and showing where you could improve. I think she was terrific.
-
-
-
-
Loved the class. Kiya is a great teacher. She answered all the questions and took her time. Highly recommend. Very fun and relaxing.
-
-
-
-
-
-
-
Kiya is a great instructor. The thing I loved the most is that she took the time to give thorough feedback to each one of the participants’ work.
That is good teaching!
Thanks Kiya
Marta
-
I don’t have the skills to follow. Instructor assumed knowledge of brushes, described consistency in terms of milks (what?) but was clearly skilled at watercolor.
-
-
The only problem was the time limit. One hour wasn’t enough at least for me.
-
-
-
-
Very helpful for someone like me who needed an understanding of technique and materials. A very pleasant and knowledgeable experience. The teacher was lovely.
-
I think I just reviewed this in a preceding email.
I think the instructor made a very positive contribution for each person. She was enthusiastic, clear, patient,. Her demonstrations were extremely helpful. And she took the guesswork out of starting with a new medium about which I had no information or experience. The results for me was that I want to do more Studies in watercolor technique
-
I enjoyed the teacher and the techniques. I thought she was a good communicator. I like the demonstrations. My only problem was that I’m not confident about using a Zoom, and I deleted myself before the class was over. The problem was I couldn’t get back into the classroom I was somehow locked out!! I was very upset and disappointed. I didn’t know how to get back in. Could you help because I have more classes coming up and I don’t want to do that again. Also I’m not sure how to join the conversation?
Do I raise my hand and wait for recognition or is there some computer access that I don’t know about right on zoom? Could you please help?! Thanks so much
-
Kota was wonderful!! I am painting now using the techniques Kiya demonstrated in class. I will definitely be coming back for more classes
-
-
Good introduction - wish the course was a bit longer - sometimes the lessons went too fast. The instructor was very helpful and creative.
-
-
Great class.
-
-
-
-
This class had everything. It was both relaxed, escapist and informative. Nicole is a naturally friendly and open person so it came very easily for her to give encouragement. The only complaint, by the fault of no one is the limitations of two demensionality when you’re dealing with texture or liquids like paint.
-
Great intro lesson and a very encouraging and helpful instructor...gave great tips and answered all the questions during and after class. Did a good job of making everyone feel included.
-
Our teacher was fantastic. She was supportive and knowledgable.
I need more classes to help me. Any suggestions?
-
-
-
I am a COMPLETE beginner with no sense of any artistic flare
I enjoyed the session very much and felt encouraged
-
-
Loved the individual feedback at the end:
-
Teacher was very clear, responsive and helpful.
Very pleasant class.
Learned a few things which was great.
You may include my first name, not my last name as reviewer.
-
Teacher was clear in her instructions, pleasant to work with—nice soothing creative time, and encouraging.
Only issue, not her fault, the limits of Zoom in sharing work, and seeing other’s work to learn from each other.
-
Class was excellent. Instructor very thorough and specific, and was available for individual questions and feedback.
-
The class was a great introduction to watercolor painting. Kiya Nicole was thorough in her explanations of technique and direction on application to create original designs.
-
-
It was great!
-
Great fun, a chance to experiment with tips from a super supportive instructor.
-
-
Kiya was amazing... she took a rather intimidating process and broke it down so someone like me (with no formal art training) was comfortable to engage with foreign concepts! And she was so patient, checked on us regularly to see if we were tracking with her, gave further clarification and feedback that drew me in rather than making me self conscious. I plan to take more classes using this forum. Thank you for adjusting your classes so they are accessible during this time of quarantine.
-
Great class...very detail for an hour.
-
Really enjoyed this class and trying something new!
-
-
-
It was so much fun
Am scheduled for same class next week. But that’s ok. Want to take again anyway
Kya was great!! Included everyone in conversation and provided great feedback.
Great class!!!
-
It was a fast moving, fun, creative class. Kiya is a great instructor with clear directions and allows the creative juices to flow. She is very about her students.
-
-
wish to have more with the same teacher. please let me know if she offer more watercolor classes as part II, meaning a package of 3 group classes with some discounted rate.
thanks
-
The class was well done and as a complete beginner, it gave me the knowledge to start enjoying the painting process. I would have liked it to be 90 minutes as opposed to 60, especially because it was a full class so after all the questions were asked, it seemed a little rushed at the end.
-
She was great!
-
-
This was a great class. I am not an artist although I wish that I were. The class was very 'zen'. Watercolors are very soothing especially during these challenging times. It was exactly what I needed. The instructor Kiya Nicole was very engaging and very talented too.
-
-
-
-
Instructor taught Work I was not interested in. Next time I’d like Intermediate watercolor, thank you
-
Class was terrific ! I am a first time beginner, techniques are important and Kiya taught techniques with clarity and lots of patience for questions. There were people in the class with varying degrees of experience and it seems it worked very well. Looking forward to more classes!
-
I enjoyed it. I'd like to have more watercolor classes, different types.
-
She was a great teacher. I just wasn't expecting it to be about abstract watercolor painting.
-
Love this course. It was very informative and helpful.
-
-
-
I very much enjoyed the class and came away with several helpful tips to improve landscape sketching. I especially liked the instruction about perspective and shading based on the chosen lighting on the landscape.
The instructor was very calm and patient with the group and took time to answer any questions and offer suggestions to improve portions of a sketch. Specifically for me she helped me understand why the islands I had drawn in a lake really looked more like clouds. I followed her advice and they improved dramatically.
I will definitely return for a future class.
Thank you.

We had some technical difficulties (video quality, disconnections) but overall they were resolved quickly and it was fun. It's pretty fast paced for a beginner class because you only have an hour. I sort of felt like I didn't get any better at drawing because there was limited time to do studies and practice the few techniques shown. However the instructor Kiya was very pleasant and easy to follow. In any case it was a good quarantine activity and I'm glad I did it.
