You will need a reliable Internet connection as well as a computer or device with which you can access your virtual class. We recommend you arrive to class 5-10 minutes early to ensure you're able to set up your device and connection.

What you'll learn in this excel class:

Analyze, manage, and share data of all kinds, from personal and professional budgeting to scheduling. In Level 2 learn to streamline and enhance your spreadsheets with templates, charts, graphics, and formulas.

Students must have MS Office Excel software installed on their computer to participate in class.

Learn how to create advanced formulas and organize your data into tables. Discover the power of PivotTables and PivotCharts and how slicers can make data filtering as easy as clicking a few buttons.

In this course, you will gain an understanding of the more advanced functionality in Excel 2016.

You will:

  • Create advanced formulas.
  • Analyze data with logical and lookup functions.
  • Organize worksheet data with tables.
  • Visualize data by using charts.
  • Analyze data with PivotTables, slicers, and PivotCharts.
  • Insert graphic objects.
  • Enhance workbooks.

Target Student: This course is designed for individuals who already have foundational knowledge and skills in Excel 2016 and are ready to advance their data analysis skills and abilities through the application of advanced Excel 2016 functionality, such as advanced formula creation, tables, charts, PivotTables and PivotCharts.

Prerequisite: Excel Level 1 or equivalent knowledge

NOTE: 

This course will be offered via Zoom. Register now and then the day before class the instructor will send you the link to attend. Look for an email with "CFU Zoom class" in the subject line. A good internet connection and a computer or device with a camera and mic are needed.

Be ready to log on and join the meeting 5-10 minutes prior to the class start time so you will be ready when class begins. If you have trouble using the link, just go to Zoom.us, click "Join a Meeting" and enter the meeting ID provided in the instructor's email.



Remote Learning

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.

Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

Refund Policy

If CFU cancels a class, you have the option for a full refund of the tuition or to move your registration to another session of the class.

If you cannot attend a class you must contact the registration office at least 72 hours prior to your first class meeting. There are no refunds if you cancel out of/cannot attend your class. With 72 hours advanced notice we can transfer you to another available class or give you a non-refundable tuition credit to use towards another class in the future. There will be a $7 transaction fee for dropping or transferring out of the original class.

If you need to cancel out of a Computer class with less than 72 hours advanced notice, there is no credit issued, but you will be able to take the class at a later time on a standby basis (waiting until the day before to opt in so that CFU knows that the class is running and that there is space). 

If you need to cancel a Spanish class under 72 hours, you will receive a non-refundable class credit for 50% of the tuition for the class. Tuition credit is valid for one year from date of issue and cannot be redeemed for cash and is non-refundable. There is no option for dropping a class after the class has begun.
