System Requirements: Here are the system requirements for to use our web conferencing software depending on what device you use. You need:

A Windows or Mac computer (or iPad)
A strong internet connection
A microphone and speakers
(usually built-in to your computer or USB headset) or a phone
A webcam to use HDFaces
(most newer laptops have them built in)

Most computers have built-in microphones and speakers, but you will get much better audio quality if you use a headset or handset. For sound, you can also call in on your landline or mobile device.

In this seven-week Online Book Proposal Class, She’ll help you present and shape your book so it’s the project that everyone wants to buy. Through interesting craft lectures and targeted feedback, Nicky will help you create a pitch perfect overview and an annotated outline that serves as a clear road map for your book. She’ll also help you design a marketing section that zeroes in on your audience, the need for your book, and sells you as the ideal person to write it.

You’ll get writing advice and assistance in selecting your sample chapters. Nicky will take her insights into the New York publishing world and help you hammer out a terrific book proposal that represents your book in the best light! By the end of this online book publishing workshop, you walk away with a full draft of a proposal and a plan of attack.

Remote Learning

This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.

Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.

Refund Policy

All sales are final and there are no refunds. Credit may be offered based on class availability. If you can’t come to class, call or email us as far in advance as possible. We will do everything we can to fill your spot, but we can’t make any guarantees. Credit eligibility is not based upon your reason for being unable to attend a class; it is based upon the timing of your credit request and our ability to fill your spot. If we find someone to take your place, you will receive class credit minus a $25 processing fee for 1 day classes and $50 processing fee for long classes. Otherwise, your payment will be forfeit. To use class credits, you need to sign up for class in advance by emailing [email protected] or calling 323.333.2954. If the class is being paid for as part of a payment plan, regardless of whether the student stops attending class, the payment plan must be paid in full by the end of the class. Failure to do so will result in the student’s account being turned over to collections.
