Present various types of materials and surfaces used in today’s bathrooms, with an emphasis on residential bath applications, some commercial applications will be explored. Examples will be given to illustrate the choices faced when designing a bathroom from functional uses to aesthetic considerations. With the myriad of material choices on the market today how does one choose from tile options to stone and even metal? Explore the different types of tiles, stones and surfacing materials.
What are their uses and characteristics and how are they appropriate for a specific installation? Tile sizes vs. stone slabs will be reviewed.
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
