What you'll learn in this kids sewing class:
Introducing: Kids’ After School! We are so excited to start our fall, winter and spring after school program. We'll be offering classes Wednesdays & Thursday's 4:00-5:15pm. All supplies and projects will be shipped upon enrollment for your kiddos to enjoy crafting and sewing! We have 2 levels for this class including beginner ( first time using the machine) and Intermediate (took one of our summer camps or has previous sewing experience).
We also work with schools in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Please email us for more details.
Beginner Class: Thursdays
- how to properly thread and use a sewing machine
- basic sewing techniques and terminology
- hand and machine stitching & seam finishes, appliqué and trim application
- embroidery
- fashion illustration
- seasonal projects: drawstring backpacks, pants, scrunchies, face masks, skirts
Intermediate Class: Wednesdays
- Sew clothing: vests, skirts, hoodies, leggings, scarves
- Sew accessories including duffel bags
- various seasonal projects that will change every month based on trends
- knitting
- Fashion illustration
Fabric and Supplies: All Included & shipped upon enrollment
PREREQUISITE: None for beginners! summer camp or other sewing experience for intermediate levels.
Remote Learning
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
Refund Policy
- You must give at least 4 business days notice to cancel your enrollment in the class, for a refund less a 5% cancellation fee.
- Once the class has started, we can no longer offer refunds.
- In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
