What you'll learn in this kids drawing class:
Our longest running popular drawing class for beginner teens eager to learn the valuable skill of Drawing + Illustration! Drawing is essential and the most important tool for all the visual arts, perfect for teen artists who want to start out strong! In this class we will study classical drawing techniques for achieving accurate proportion & linear perspective, learn how to develop line, form & tone in still-life arrangements using a combination of pencil, charcoal or inks. As well as explore practical exercises on how to draw using the right side of the brain, how to draw curves, use contour technique & straight line approximation technique, the essentials of drawing ellipses, drawing a cylinder, hemispheres & how to employ horizontal lines & vanishing points, & how to use cross contours to give your drawings a sense of volume and accuracy. Learn how to use the midpoint establishment to ensure the two major halves or your drawing are accurate- these traditional exercises help you learn how to see shape and form, honing your observational skills. In just a few short weeks, you will develop confidence & be able to devise strong compositions. In final weeks we will put together all the techniques and work on more ambitious accurate finished drawings. Returning students are welcome and will be accommodated for.

- Kneaded gum eraser(looks like a gray gum-like small square)
- White rubber eraser

- One pack of 12 or more soft color pastels
Note: If you are signing up for only one class, please note this will only serve as a taster class. Students with a more serious interest are encouraged to sign up for a full course in order to benefit from learning techniques in this exciting media.
This is an ONLINE ART CLASS that meets weekly via Zoom. Students are required to download the (free) Zoom App before class time. After your register we will supply you with a link to join the class on your App.
Remote Learning
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
School Notes:
Health + Safety Updates:
- The wearing of Masks + face coverings are now optional for all staff + students for all classes and events.
- Those who prefer to wear a face covering in class are encouraged to do so. *Therefore please do not assume that those wearing a mask are unvaccinated.
- Students + staff, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a mask when:
- Returning to CWAS on the sixth day after testing positive for COVID-19, through day 10 after symptom onset or date of positive test, whichever is earlier.
- Exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.
- Students + staff, regardless of vaccination status, are strongly recommended to wear a mask:
- When they were exposed to someone with COVID-19, whether the exposure occurred in the studio or outside the studio. The person should wear a mask for 10 days after their last day of exposure and get tested at least 24 hours apart on day 4 and day 5 of their exposure.
- When they are moderately to severely immunocompromised and masking is recommended by their healthcare provider.
- We will continue to ask students NOT to attend our programs when exhibiting any symptoms of illnesses that would be contagious.
Health + Safety Practices:
- We continue to ask anyone attending our programs and events to follow best practices when it comes to general health + safety protocols.
- Pick-up + drop-off personnel must remain outside the studio to help reduce traffic at our studio + keep everyone safe! If you have anyone picking you up please let them know to collect you outside the studio.
- Thorough cleaning and sanitizing protocols will remain in effect throughout our studio.
- We continue to ask students to follow good hygiene habits, including the use of hand sanitizer. Hand-sanitizing stations will remain throughout our studio.
- We encourage all students to wash their hands upon entry to the studio and to use hand sanitizer.
- We continue to ask students to be respectful + kind to each other at all times.

Refund Policy
Cancellation + Rescheduling Policy for In-Person Classes:
We do NOT offer any refunds at Creatively Wild Art Studio after registration.If you have booked a full course with us, If you need to reschedule a class, you can purchase a rescheduling Ticket: https://www.creativelywildartstudio.com/rescheduling-requests
$25 per rescheduled class/ per person. You can reschedule a single class within 24 hours of the class start time.
If you booked only a single-day class, you can also reschedule only if your request/ ticket is booked more than 24 hours ahead of your class start time.
If you submit a ticket within 24 hours of your class start time, your request will NOT be accommodated.
Please view schedules on our website according to your age group and pick the class and date you are switching to. If the class is not running or for some reason, the class is NOT available, you will be contacted via email and offered an alternative date.
Rescheduling Tickets are NOT VALID on Online Classes, Toddler Classes, Private Classes or Party events ( see our studio policies for these policies)

Rescheduling tickets received last minute, within the 24 hours time frame, or after the class has taken place are invalid and you will not be entitled to a refund, credit, or any rescheduling.
Rescheduling tickets are valid for all regular group classes held live in our studio for Adults, Kids, or Teens
Rescheduling Tickets are NOT VALID for Toddler Classes, Private Lessons, Online Classes , Camps, Parties or any other events at Creatively Wild.

To Reschedule a FULL COURSE
Please contact us via EMAIL to request. As per our studio policies, NO refunds are offered after registration.
In the case of a FULL CLASS COURSE cancellation after registration, there is a rescheduling fee of $ 75 and a credit will be issued for the amount less this fee.
Credits must be used within 6 months of issue and will NOT BE VALID after this time.
