William H. Gerdts, Professor Emeritus of Art History at the Graduate School of CUNY, is the author of more than 25 books, numerous exhibition catalogues, and articles. Dr. Gerdts is a former Curator of Painting and Sculpture at the Newark Museum, has served on the boards of The American Art Journal and the Hudson River Museum, and remains on the boards of The American Art Review and the International Foundation for Art Research.
