Paige Sweet

Teaches at Brooklyn Institute for Social Research

Paige Sweet holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Minnesota. She was also an Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of the Western Cape in South Africa for three years. Her research spans Brazilian, French, North American, and South African literature and film. It engages literary and critical theory, feminist/critical race studies, psychoanalysis, and legal theory. Her work examines how literary and cinematic experiments with form, punctuation, and copying registers politics in a different key. 

Her publications have appeared in Parallax, The New Inquiry, ARIEL, darkmatter, and other venues. She is currently a candidate at Manhattan Institute for Psychoanalysis, where she sees clients in the clinic and researches the complex intersections of the social, the political, and the psychoanalytic.
