Students will learn how to do basic configuration of servers, routers, switches, and firewalls. At the end of the class students should be able to setup and troubleshoot a network.
CompTIA Network+ is an entry level network install and repair certification for professionals. The network+ certification covers a technician's ability to describe the features and functions of networking components and to install, configure and troubleshoot basic networking hardware, protocols and services. To become Network+ certified, students must pass an 100 question, 90 minutes, exam with a score of 80% or better.
Students will learn:
- Network Fundamentals
- The OSI Model
- TCP/IP Fundamentals
- HTCP/IP Utilities
- Network Operating Systems
- Wired and Wireless Network
- WAN and Remote Access Technologies
- Network Access and Security
- Fault Tolerance and Disaster Recovery
