The Writer’s Group: Fine-tuning Your Story in a Supportive Community
We are offering this lab for a small group of committed writers who enjoy the writing process and want to come together each month to share their works in progress and receive feedback from other committed writers. This is a safe, supportive place to try out what you've been working on independently in a facilitated workshop.
Occasional guest speakers from the publishing world will join the group to discuss different aspects of writing, such as writing from an illustrator's perspective or to provide personal viewpoints on the writer's experience.
Prerequisite:
WFC I or II or submit a manuscript in progress. Inquiries and manuscripts should be emailed to [email protected]. Individuals who submit a manuscript (or took WFC I or II) will be notified of acceptance on a rolling basis while space is available.
Changes must be submitted in writing to CourseHorse, [email protected], no later than 6 business days preceding the first class meeting date and are subject to a $15 fee. No withdrawals, refunds, or transfer requests will be accepted after that time.
All courses are subject to minimum enrollment. If a course is cancelled by the College for any reason, students may transfer to another course or receive a full refund less a 5% non-refundable registration fee. the College reserves the right to cancel any course for which there is insufficient enrollment and to withdraw or modify course offerings. Course locations, fees, and instructors may also be changed when necessary.
