AHA Basic Life Support Provider BLENDED (BLS)

This course is for Healthcare Professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. This course covers Adult and pediatric CPR, Two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag-valve mask, Foreign-body airway obstruction, Automated external defibrillation, Special resuscitation situations and other cardiopulmonary emergencies.

Course Format: The American Heart Association (AHA) offers a blended option for the BLS Provider Course. The BLS Provider Blended learning course (half online / half in class) has three parts. This course format can be used for original or renewal students.

Part 1 is called "Heartcode BLS", which is completed online by the student and covers the lecture and written test part of the course. It must be completed online by the student on the AHA website. 

Parts 2 & 3 (Practice and Skills Test) must be completed at a physical location with an AHA instructor in a traditional classroom setting (skills session).

 How it works:

1. Complete Part 1, called "Heartcode BLS" (the lecture and written test) online on the AHA website. You may purchase the online part. If you purchase the online course from us, you will receive a confirmation email which will include a unique link/url to the AHA website to gain access to the online course. If you already completed the online part, you may register for the skills session only. 
2. Complete Part 2 & 3. Report to the skills session you registered for to complete your certification at one of our classroom locations. **You must EMAIL or FAX online part one certification before the class (details in the confirmation email after registration)*

Students Receive: An AHA digital BLS Provider Manual and an American Heart Association course completion card (valid for 2 years). 

Audience: Individuals (in school or after school) such as EMTs, PAs, Nurses, Dentists, Physicians, Hematologists, Pharmacists, Lifeguards, Paramedics, PTs, OTs, and other allied healthcare providers are likely required to be certified in BLS.
